Serendipity Tiles from my Travels
On our first day in Anchorage in May of 2008, before we took the bus trip to Denali, we visited the open air market near our hotel. There I met Ed Mighell, "Silver Hand Artist," selling his one-of-a-kind hand-built tiles. He uses clay from the Cook Inlet Glacier. This tile depicts a seal swimming under the ice with a polar bear waiting up top of the air hole for his seal lunch.
